In order for students to take their knowledge of coding to the next level, then implementation of more advanced hardware is needed. Windtree’s Basketball Launcher builds upon the accumulated knowledge students gained from the exploration done with the Aluminum robot as they share the same base robot. Implementation of servos and other new hardware pieces challenge students to discover new functions of coding and how they can be utilized. The Basketball Launcher requires the understanding of both mathematics and Python coding to be successful.
