Windtree Technology offers a variety of uniquely designed and educationally purposed robots.
Our Aluminum Robot challenges students with complex activities that test their accumulated knowledge of robotics and software. The activities are solved using block and text coding based upon the python coding language, and implemented through the use of our advanced version of the Windtree C2G microcontrollers, the C2G Pro. Students utilize a variety of sensors that interact and respond to the world around them, requiring a higher level of function and script code writing to successfully navigate their robot.
For students to take their knowledge of coding to the next level, the implementation of more advanced hardware is needed. Windtree’s Basketball Launcher builds upon the accumulated knowledge students gained from the exploration done with the Aluminum robot as they share the same base robot. Implementation of servos and other new hardware pieces challenge students to discover new functions of coding and how they can be utilized. The Basketball Launcher requires the understanding of both mathematics and Python coding to be successful.
With our N-Gen Robots, students are introduced to a higher level of thinking involving the engineering design process. Windtree Robotics guides students to build, test, analyze, iterate, and ultimately show off their robotics skills. Students are given new robots to construct and guide through a plethora of trials. They are presented with higher level hardware including sonar sensors and servos, meant to create that extra level of depth that is needed in the students programming process
